Biography

Pamela James has been practicing law since 1989. She is licensed to practice in Georgia and Florida. She has an L.LM from Georgetown Law Center, Washington, D.C. Her practice in Georgia and Florida has consisted primarily of product liability/personal injury litigation and consumer and environmental class action litigation. She is admitted to practice in all State and Federal courts in Georgia and Florida as well as the United States Supreme Court.

In addition to practicing as a trial lawyer for over thirty years, she has been extensively involved in legal and community service in Georgia. She was appointed and served on the Georgia State Ethics Commission, Chaired the Board for Georgia Legal Services, served on several Georgia Bar Committees including Judicial Evaluation and Unauthorized Practice of Law, served as President of the Augusta Bar Association and served as a part-time and full-time Juvenile Court Judge. She has been recognized as a Georgia Super Lawyer and in Best Lawyers in America. She currently serves as a Board member for Augusta Tomorrow, Inc., Trustee and Past Chair of the Board for the Augusta University Foundation, Board member for the Tuttle Newton Home, and a Director on the Creel Harison Foundation. She served as President of the Rivergate Garden Club, President of the Augusta Symphony Guild and is an owner/member of Brays Island Plantation.

She is married to attorney Raymond Doumar who practices in Georgia and Florida. They have three children including a daughter Emily Doumar who attended Clemson and the University of Georgia Law School. Emily practices in Augusta. Their twins, Jackson and Allie, are sophomores at the University of Georgia. Pam enjoys gardening, beekeeping, riding horses, and spending time in Italy with her family.
